This gives an extraordinary morning boost as it has an immensely invigorating blend of ingredients, (few as there are). I don't think I have told you about the usefulness of having frozen bananas.
Bananas are an ideal fruit to freeze when it is too ripe and can then be used to make cakes, pancakes, smoothies and icecream.
I took a shortcut on preparation time here. I bought some precooked beetroots which can also be frozen. It gave me peace of mind that I have the last few beet's sitting in the freezer that can be used whether for more smoothies with bananas, a grated beetroot sandwich or as a main meal such as warm lentils with beetroot and ricotta cheese.

2 small beets, cooked, peeled and roughly chopped
125g fresh strawberries
1 ripe banana
1. Place all of the ingredients into a blender.
2. Blend until smooth.
