Spicy Tuna Steak, Sweet Red Peppers and Avocado Salsa Recipe

Just made this for lunch and felt immediately compelled to write and say how incredibly delicious it is. Delighted with the flavors and it was very easy to prepare. .


Prep Time:  15 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins

For the Tuna
     4 x 140 g fresh tuna steak
     salt and freshly ground black pepper
     100 g sesame seeds
     olive oil

For the salsa  
     1 red onion finely chopped
     2 avocados, stone removed, cut into small chunks
     2 tomatoes chopped
     3 tbsp olive oil
     1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
     fresh flat-leaf parsley, to garnish

1. Place the tuna on a plate and season both sides with salt and pepper.

2. Heat the oil in a large pan and add the tuna, in stages.  Cook the tuna over a high heat for two minutes on each side, or until cooked to your taste.
   
3. For the salsa, place all the ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine.

4. To serve, remove the tuna from the pan and place onto a serving plate. Spoon the salsa on the plate and garnish with the parsley.
